Like its predecessor, the player's goal is to explore the environments and survive in an alien environment while also completing objectives to advance the game's plot. ![]() Subnautica: Below Zero is a survival adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a first-person perspective. It received generally positive reviews from critics. The physical versions of the game were published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Introduced in early access via Steam and the Epic Games Store in January 2019, Subnautica: Below Zero was released for macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 14, 2021. Hopefully your post here can help others that are stuck without moving to see how they can get moving again.Subnautica: Below Zero is an open-world survival action-adventure video game developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. You didn't mention what controller you use instead of the touch controllers. It sure isn't ideal, but I can do most everything else with the controllers and they haven't stopped working. I wonder if taking the batteries out of the touch controllers would stop the confusion, or just get me hopelessly stuck. There are just too many functions in Subnautica to be able to map them all adequately on the original touch controllers I am using, so I resort to the keyboard to hit ESC and save game and hit q when I need to derez something. On the plus side, I think it's actually easier to chase down Peepers in VR. So, use the controller, but keep the touch controllers in reach to get yourself working again. ![]() I think I might have gotten it straightened out before by going to the Oculus menu using touch and then reentering the game. So, I'd have to pick up the touch controllers to save game and exit, which is not ideal. I think it tries to switch to the touch controllers, and those are not fully supported so there are some things you simply can't do with them. You also need to read a recipe guide because you won't get the recipe hints in VR that you would on screen. I also play The Forest, though figuring out the controls is difficult and it seems that some things, like blocking, just don't happen. It's not perfect on mine, but definitely playable and I enjoy the VR enough that I'm not tempted to go back to the flat screen. Some people have problems with performance, so it can take some tweaking to get it smooth enough to play. I've got Rift S, steam version, with the vr mod, and my controls bug out sometimes. This bug seem to be picky with whom it chooses to manifest for and I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Where did you get yours and how do you get started to play this game? I run SteamVR and start Subnautica from there. I've heard there are different version out there based on where you bought your copy. I've never experienced this bug and everything has worked 100% stable. ![]() Why am I and several others able to play using both the original touch controllers and the xbox controllers without problem if it is the game that is bugged? They appear to be to lazy and don't give a crap. U might as well just uninstall it or play it flat. ![]() If you open your inventory - the next time you press A after getting out you will loose controller control. Im having same issue - Rift s - Its not the VR set, Its the game and a known bug that they are simply to lazy to fix, Its a dam game breaker.
